Drama

The curriculum in Drama aims to develop students’ independence, collaboration skills, self-esteem and creativity; encouraging students to think and express themselves confidently, and develop their confidence in performing. Through our curriculum, we offer students the chance to explore relationships and identity, taking on the role of different characters and empathising with their lives and emotions when performing both scripted and devised dramatic pieces. Students will explore a range of professional plays as well as devising their own work, to help them become reflective, critical and analytical learners, understanding the impact of theatre on audiences, and to provide a wide experience of different practitioners and genres of plays.
