Together We Achieve

A school is more than just a place where students come to learn. It is a place where a community develops and thrives. It is a place where we come together to support each other achieve. Whether it is in the classroom learning, on the sports field competing or on the stage performing, we know that success comes from us all working together.

Together We Achieve

A Whole Education

Student progress will always remain a key priority because outcomes so often dictate future pathways and opportunities for young people. The curriculum at Hove Park School is not just about the sequencing of lessons and subjects across the Key Stages but also the half termly project days and extra-curricular provision that together enrich and broaden a student’s time at Hove Park. Our vision is about identifying the skills, values and attributes that we believe students should develop during their time with us and the things they will see, hear, try and explore. In essence our vision is to provide a whole education for all our students.

Hove Park continues to be a good school

We are pleased to share our recent Ofsted inspection report.

A Hove Park School Initiative

Every Child Should

Every Child Should (ECS) is a Hove Park School initiative, to ensure that all students get the opportunity to participate in a variety of memorable and enriching experiences, as they journey through the school, which in turn will complement and broaden their education. Each theme below is represented by a coloured star badge, that students can wear on their blazers. The challenge for students is to achieve all 8 badges by the time they leave the Valley Campus, at the end of Year 8 and move to begin their GCSE courses, on the Nevill Campus.

Today, we had visitors in school supporting our German studies. The poet and polyglot Sophie Lau worked with Year 9 students of German on a poem written and delivered by a famous German singer, Julia Englemann. The workshops developed translation skills with students putting their skills into practice writing their own poems. The visit also included drop-ins into classes by Pauline Wick of the Goethe-Institut London. This work with the Goethe Institut is core to the aims of our Adur Language Hub, aiming to promote the positive aspects of language acquisition in school and to promote German as a language key to business and career possibilities.
