The U14 girls football team played their second game in 24 hours, taking on Millais in the first round of the National Cup. With two players returning from injury, the 14 player squad were up for the challenge after being knocked out by this team last year.
Hove Park were confident after their win the day before and demonstrated strength and flair from the off. Two goals in the first 15 minutes showed that the girls meant business and they dominated the game for the majority of the half. However, just before the half time whistle, Millais were able to break into the HP half and a wonder strike saw them pull a goal back.Into the second half and Hove Park stepped it up a gear! They contested every challenge, worked as a team to move the ball and didn't stop working for the full 30 mins. Four more goals saw them take a great victory against a very good opposition. They didn't stand a chance! Well done to the whole team - Bertie, Hattie, Flo, Bonnie, Gemma, Siena, Bella, Ella, Jess, Lottie, Stella, Katie, Molly and Tabby. Goals from Tabby (3), Molly, Stella and Ella.
