£4.5 million capital investment in Hove Park School

The recommendations in the Basic Need report were agreed by the Brighton and Hove Policy, Resources & Growth Committee last night. The report recommends Hove Park School is allocated £4.5 million, for capital projects. This is in addition to the money already agreed for work to build a new canteen on the Nevill campus, which will start in the Summer term.

After several months of meetings and discussions, this is really exciting news for our school and will enable us to further develop our facilities and accommodation, on both campuses.

With this decision being taken, we will be meeting with the Local Authority in the next few weeks, to plan and prioritise, but clearly the additional money will support specialist accommodation on both campuses, as part of our move to a 3-year Key Stage 4 in September 2019, in addition to the development of our dining and sports facilities.

Best wishes, Jim Roberts, Head teacher
